22.

I turned 22 on the 22nd. This was my first birthday I haven't been living at home and getting presents from my parents. How depressing :) I have officially entered into the world of a birthday is really just another day, which is ok, just a change. I spent most of the day sleeping. Husband took my car during the day and cleaned it and got my oil changed and all that junk for me. Then when I woke up he made dinner and then the Tolmans stopped by before I had to go to work. James took a 4 day weekend so we just got to spend a lot of time together which was really nice. We played our new Wii a lot and on Saturday we went to the circus and slept a lot which I like and am cherishing for the next 4 1/2 months. James is the best and he makes me feel special everyday but he tried extra hard for my birthday and I love him for it.

Boy oh boy

Well, it's a BOY! We (especially me) couldn't be more ecstatic. It took our little guy a good few minutes before he would spread his legs for us. The technician showed us every little inch of our guy and I was starting to get worried she wouldn't be able to tell us the sex cuz she said he just wouldn't open his legs. She pushed my stomach a little bit trying to get him to move and thankfully he did! The second she said it was a boy I burst into tears.

I know having a baby is very special for every mom and that every mom knows the meaning of unconditional love. But I'll tell ya, placing my first son for adoption has sure made me appreciate everything about this pregnancy much more and made every aspect of it much more emotional. As soon as the technician left the room I completely broke down. Then I cried in the car. Then we went to the store the buy his first outfit and while picking out the clothes I started crying again. This has been the pattern of my whole day. I'm just sooooooo HAPPY!! We may not have planned this pregnancy so soon, but I sure am grateful for this special little guy growing inside me. He is already making me the happiest mommy in the world.

16 weeks

So, as of Sunday I am 16 weeks pregnant. This entire pregnancy has been completely different than my last one. With Riley it was seriously so easy. I was never sick, never had pain or anything. I have been so sick with this one, and have had so much pain. I've actually felt pregnant this whole time whereas with Ri I never really did. Except for the getting fat part of course. The one good thing about this one so far is I have really gotten that big yet (knock on wood). I've only gained 3 pounds. It is not in my family genes to stay small when pregnant so I'll take this as long as it'll last. I don't really understand why though. I eat like crap and whatever I want. But I'll take it.

Our insurance only covers one ultrasound so we weren't able to get one of our little peanut. Our ultrasound is scheduled for the 27th, so only 13 more days and we get to find out what we're having! We are so excited. James wants a girl really bad, I want a boy really bad but I think it's a girl. Just cuz everything has been different than it was with my boy. So we'll just have to wait and see.

I just started feeling our little babe move a couple days ago. I forgot how awesome this feeling was. Even though I've been through it before it still seems so surreal. It's awesome. We haven't been good about taking pictures at different stages, we just took the first one on Sunday at 16 weeks. Maybe since I'm actually updating my blog now it'll motivate me to take them more often.

I'm back.

Sorry for the blogging hiatus. I was really busy for a while, and lately I've just been tired and lazy to put it plainly :) I promise to keep up with it from now on. I really do have the time, just haven't had the energy. It is however already 12:30 in the morning and husband should be walking in the door from work momentarily so I won't write much now. I just spent a good amount of time changing everything around and turning this into our blog since I'm married and all now. It's crazy how much things have changed since I last wrote on here. I don't even know where to begin with updates. The most exciting of which is, we're having a baby, and we couldn't be more excited about it. Baby news will be my first blog post tomorrow (well, later today). Promise.
