David and Carrie went to Vegas for their anniversary last weekend and mom and dad were watching all their kids. I offered to take Cam since he would be the hardest for mom and dad, but would be easy for me since Jax is the same age. The boys had lots of fun together. There sure is a big difference between an only child and a fifth child. Jaxson definitely does not know how to share, and Cam didn't really care when Jaxson grabbed everything out of his hands :)

It was definitely a little more work than I thought it would be, but we had fun with little Cammers. He's so sweet!

Fred

I needed to make a post about this sweet girl. In February, our friend posted that they needed a home for their 8 year old dog and James and I decided we wanted her. We went and got her and within a day we were both in love with her. She is honestly the sweetest dog I have ever met and she was so so good with Jax. It's been a month and a half though and we realized that the apartment life just wasn't good for her, she was just a little too big. So I posted her on ksl a couple days ago, and a great family came and got her this morning. They have a house, 2 other Bagles (basset/beagle mix) and a beagle and they just loved her the second they met her. I know it was the best thing for her. She was having super bad separation anxiety whenever I left and she just had no room to roam. If we had a house we never would've let this girl go. I just wanted to pay a little tribute to her cuz even after this short time I really got attached to her and she really was a great dog. Love you, Fred!

So our boy started out way on the small end of the scale, shot up to the high end, and is now pretty average.

Fun facts:

- He absolutely loves to read. We spend most of our day reading books. If you ask him if he wants to read a book he will drop whatever he is doing, find the nearest book, come set it next to you, and reach his arms up for you to put him on your lap. It's so cute

- He has been walking since 10 months, I don't know if I ever posted that. But now he walks perfectly in all his shoes too, and is just a complete walker. He never crawls anymore.

- He is a terrible eater. He only has a few things that he'll eat all the time, and he doesn't eat very much most of the time. It drives momma crazy. Almost every meal is a battle.

- He is a terrible napper. He always has been. Some days he sleeps for 3 hours, other days for 45 minutes total. It is so frustrating.

- He has always been a good night sleeper though. Goes to bed between 7 & 8 and wakes up between 7 & 8.

- He babbles a ton! He can say dog, dadda, and occasionally I'll get a momma, but not too often. He can sign please and all done.

- He loves his blocks, he carries them all over the house. He is also getting really into cars and trucks. He got a big ambulance for his birthday and he likes to push that around

- He is a momma's boy, but he sure loves his daddy when he is around

- He has 12 teeth. The Dr told me he has enough teeth to eat steak :) (too bad he won't eat meat)

- He knows how to fold his arms for prayer, and he recognizes different pictures of Jesus which just melts my heart.


This boy amazes me everyday with everything he learns. It's different with nieces and nephews cuz you only see them every now and then and it's awesome to see when they've learned something, but getting to spend every day with this boy and seeing him pick up on the littlest things is absolutely amazing to me. I can't believe how much he understands when I talk to him. Like when I say do you want to eat, and he walks over to his chair, pulls it out, and waits for me to put it in him. I love it so much. He makes me so happy every day and I'm so glad he is growing and learning so well.

Jaxson Knight is ONE!

I can't believe this day was already 2 weeks ago. This post is just about his birthday celebrations, I'll do another one with his stats and things about him. We had a party for Cam and Jax on the 18th (wish we could have had Blakey here too). We decided to make a Y and U cake and give the opposite to the boys so that they were "tearing" up the other one. It turned out really cute. His birthday was on Monday the 20th which was president's day so James had the day and was really nice that we got to spend the whole day together. We went to the aquarium in the morning, grabbed some lunch, all three of us took a nap together, and then we went out to dinner. THEN on the 26th we had a party at our house with James' family.

I will never be able to describe how grateful I am for this sweet boy. Can't believe it's already been a year since he came into our lives. I love him more than anything, and this has been the best year yet!

I'm on a dinosaur

...computer that is. My laptop broke last April, which is why I got the Ipad. Now, our desktop broke a little while ago and James has yet to fix it. So, that is why there has been a lack of bloggage and pictures on facebook. Finally, James had this almost 10 year old laptop sitting around from work and I decided to use it last night to put Jaxson's birthday pictures up. No joke, it took 3 hours to put my pictures from January to now on the computer, organize them, and upload them to facebook. 3 freaking hours! How did we use to live like that?! Anywho, now I'm tackling the blogging which shouldn't take nearly as long since I already have the pictures ready to go on the computer. So, here we go.
